Hawaii 2012...Day 1!

We received an invitation a few months ago for Bill's friends Bryce and Jessica's wedding and decided that it was the perfect excuse to go to Hawaii...by ourselves!  It was an amazing trip and we are now planning a family trip back to Kauai.  We rented a condo that advertised itself as "two minutes from Poipu Beach".  We thought they were probably exaggerating, but found we were wrong.  It really was about a 2 1/2 minute walk from our front door to this beach in Poipu.  We headed over there after dropping off our stuff.  You can tell by looking at these pictures and Bill always looks better after a day of traveling than I do!

There was so much to see and only a few days to do it!  After our little trip to the beach, we cleaned up and headed out to dinner at Keoki's Paradise.  It was great!  I had Mahi Mahi and Bill had prime rib.  Their signature drinks are served in a hollowed out pineapple and of course, I had to have one of those!  After that, we headed home for a good night's sleep so we could get started with some sight-seeing in the morning!
