Vacation Day 5: Part 2: Butchart Gardens!

After our trip to the Butterfly Gardens, we headed off to Butchart Gardens, which is just down the road. Bill and I had been there before, but never during Christmas time and it was beautiful. We spend a couple of hours in the afternoon walking around and had lunch there. One thing we learned on our trip is that the cafes in big tourist attractions are not very good. I don't recommend lunch at the coffee shop there. It was expensive and not worth the money. After strolling around, we headed back to the car, where we all watched "Bedknobs and Broomsticks" for about an hour, waiting for it to get dark, then back to view the place all lit up.

Abby spend much of our first trip through the garden on a scavenger hunt for the items from the 12 days of Christmas. Behind her are the 5 golden rings!

Silly girls!

More silliness!

The carousel. Abby couldn't wait to go for a ride on Rudolph.

Cheese!

Silly!

Silly!

Silly!

Wishing well.

Nine ladies dancing.

A quiet moment in the Japanese garden.

On our return trip, it was colder and rained part of the time, but we still had a good time.

Rubbing his nose is good luck.

The sunken garden.

Back to the carousel!

It was a long day, but it was fun.
