Odd encounters.

Abby and I, along with our friend Mike and his son Daniel, headed out to the Tillamook Forest this morning. I was trying to find a couple of quarries that were off of one of the old Oregon Trail Rally stages.

Unfortunately, the road we wanted had been washed out, so we wandered for a bit. Eventually we stumbled upon a Mercury Tracer, nosed into a small ditch, with all of its glass broken and a dent in every panel. As we arrived there, so did its owner, with some gas to get it going. Apparently it had been left overnight and vandalized. Fortuitous timing for the owner, as we were able to tow him out no problem.

We continued our search for a quarry, and while heading up a hill, we met a white minivan coming down. Not too out of the ordinary until you factor in the guy sitting on the roof, and the guys hanging out of the sliding doors.

As we drove by, the one hanging out the door closest to me asked, "Are you a cop?"

Teenagers! Sheesh!

We turned around at the top of the hill, and met them, (and passed them,) on the way back down.

Man, we've really been slacking on the updates! Look for some more tomorrow.
