Plan B...

On Wednesday the 22nd, my friends Nicole and Kat and Kat's daughter, Kiera, decided we all (including Abby and Libby) would go to see Santa at Washington Square. After arriving, we found out that the wait would be over an hour (closer to two) and decided with a 2 year-old, a 3 year-old and a 5 year-old, there was no way that was going to happen without a horrible melt down...and, the kids might have misbehaved too. Anyway, we opted for plan B, which was to take the kids to the play place in the mall and then to McDonald's for lunch. A good time was had by all.

Whee!

Better than waiting in line any day!

After lunch, we all headed home for naps (Abby, Libby, and I all napped. I love naps!) and some down time, then we went to Applebee's (this time with Bill in tow) for kid's night and dinner. After dinner we decided to take the kids to see the Zoo Lights. Bill chickened out on this one (definitely the smartest of us) and stayed home. Kat, Nicole, and I packed up all the girls and headed out. The parking lot at the actual zoo was full, so we parked and hiked to the school buses that were shuttling people to the zoo. When we got to the shuttle, there was a HUGE line and we heard that there was another HUGE line at the actual zoo. Again, with 2, 3, and 5 year-olds, we decided that would not work so, for the second time that day, we conjured up a plan B...which was a trip to Baskin and Robbin's ice cream.
Yum, ice cream!
