Camping at Silver Falls!

The second weekend in August, we headed off on our annual Silver Falls camping trip.  It was great!  This is the 4th year that we've done this and we always have a fabulous time.  Thanks to Matt & Kate for organizing it this year.  Ryan Jefferis originally did all the foot work for this trip, but he and his family have been in Germany for the last two years.  Matt and Kate Frietag have taken over so that we can all continue to enjoy this great time!  Check out the pictures from 2009 and 2011 (Bill took the girls by himself in 2010 and didn't take any pictures!).  This year was the first year that we all go to join the gang in the hike around the falls, which was the longest hike of my life (it was actually only about 2 miles, but you would have thought it was 200 if you asked Libby).

Bill, Abby, Libby, Michelle, and Nate headed to the trailhead.

Doug and Joy, Michael, Rachel, Shealynn, and Libby.

 Getting started.

All the kids have grown so much since the group picture we took the first year. From left to right: Michael, Abby, Bella, Libby, Claire, Rebecca, Noah, Logan, and Rachel.

Nate with his dad, Heath.  He didn't want to be in the group picture.

How many kids can we get in a hole?

 Tada!

 Rachel's turn.

 Michael's turn!

After the hike, we all went swimming to cool off.

On Saturday, we have a potluck with all of the families on this trip.  It is the best potluck of the year, every year!

 Making s'mores! Yum!

Playing barbies while the parents all pack up to head for home.
