Camping at Silver Falls

On Thursday this week, we headed off for the annual camping trip at Silver Falls. Ryan Jefferis, who works with Bill, organizes this trip, but after setting everything up this year, Ryan and his family moved to Germany for a special assignment for Daimler. So, we did the trip without them, but they were missed. We got up to the campground on Thursday evening around 6 pm and the girls headed off for the playground.

Rachel and Claire, walking Tucker.

Rebecca and Michael walking Badger.

Bill sitting on the back of the tent trailer. This was our first big trip with it and it was great. We stayed a lot cleaner and slept a lot better than in a regular tent.

On Friday morning, all the little girls gathered to play Barbies. Rachel, Claire, Abby, Rebecca, Shaylin, and Libby.

Bill, Matt, Jason, and Doug.

Playing cornhole.

Michael, Noah, and Logan showing Libby how to play Beyblade. The boys spent about 4 hours in the trailer playing this. Of course, before this weekend, I had never heard of the game, but I guess you need to have boys 5-10 to know what's up with their games!

South Silver Falls! On Friday afternoon, Bill and I loaded up the girls and did a short hike to the south fall. The group did a hike on Saturday, but because the girls were in the Crawfish Festival Parade on Saturday, we missed it, so we did ours early. Both girls walked to whole hike, but Libby was not happy about it.

Taking a break on the hike.

After the hike, we had ice cream and headed over to the swimming hole to cool off.

I love you this much!

Logan, Noah, and Frank with a random camper and the snake he caught in the campground!

Riding bikes! Abby is getting really good on her bike and we'll be taking the training wheels off for good soon.

On Saturday, the girls were in a parade (pictures to follow) and then we headed back to the campground. We stopped so the girls could swim and play with the wooden boats Bill made a couple of years ago for a camping trip and then updated last year.

On Saturday night, we had a big potluck. I should have taken a picture of the food, because it was fabulous!
