Abby's 4th Birthday!

Saturday, August 1st, was Abby's 4th birthday. The day spilled over with fun and craziness, including a piñata, water guns, and wading pools. It was hot, though, not as ridiculously hot as it had been earlier in the week, cooling down to a frosty 98 degrees instead of the 107 of Tuesday and Wednesday. Here, Elisa, Abby, Jacob, and Brenden "patiently" await the cutting of the cake.

Abby was very excited by her presents, although the invitations said, "no gifts necessary", everyone ignored that. Here is Abby opening a Snow White barbie from her Grandma and Gramps and exclaiming, "I've wanted one of these my whole life!"

The "doctor puppy" she couldn't wait to get into from Michael.

Her gift from her cousins Brenden and Jacob...looks like Bill was hoping she'd let him play with it.

Bill's cousin Brendan, Papa Bill, Daddy, and Doug hanging out by the rally car.

Babies! Seems like we had babies everywhere and they're all starting to try and escape. Grandma holding Carly and Jen with Libby.

Kat feeding Kiera cake and ice cream. Yummy!

Aunt Rachel, Gramps, Jen, Libby, Grandma, Carly, Uncle David, Brenden, and Aunt Kathy.

More of the guys.

Doug and Eric "Uncle E "relaxing in the shade.

Joy and Michael with snacks.

Grammy Paula, Heather with Carly, and Kat hanging out by the pool.

More of the fam. Abby is the luckiest little girl ever when it comes to family that will travel great distances to be at her parties...of course, they are pretty good parties.

Mommy and Libby.

The awesome Jasmine piñata that was made by my ex-coworker, Benny! Thanks, Benny! She was as tall as Abby and the kids loved her! If anyone is looking for the greatest handmade piñatas, let me know and I'll get you in touch with Benny. Apparently, this was his first princess, but I thought he did an excellent job.

Jasmine!

Jasmine was one tough girl, too! It seemed like it took forever for the kids to get the candy out of her. By the end, we were all wondering if they would need anger management classes, because they (Abby especially), were having a little too much fun hitting her with a stick.

It was such a hot day, that the wading pools were a big hit. Heather brought a tiny one for the babies, Grandma and Gramps brought a big one for the big kids, and we had a medium sized one for the toddlers...everyone had a pool that was "just right" to quote Goldilocks.

Emma and Brenden.

The Birthday Princess.

Megan in her cutie swim suit.

Libby and Carly.

Ella relaxing with a pool all to herself. Ahhh...

More bathing beauties.

Kiera and the birthday girl had matching swim suits.

It was a great time, but Mommy is glad that it's over until next year!
