Easter!

While Bill and his dad were putting the tent up, the girls and I decided to dye Easter eggs. This is the first year Libby has really gotten into this and she got very enthusiastic...including spilling a cup of orange dye on the floor. Luckily, if you're quick, you can get it up before it stains!

On Easter day, we went to brunch at Bill's cousin, Brendan and Jess's house. Here is their daughter, Ella, reading books with the girls.

Bill's dad just returned from his year-long cross-country trip in the middle of April. He stayed with us for about a week and the girls really liked having him back. He was amazed by Libby, in particular, since a whole year had passed since he'd seen her. She was walking and barely talking when he left. Now, she runs and climbs everything and talks a million miles an hour. While Mr. Bill was here, he and Bill decided to put the tent from the new tent trailer up. Here are the pictures.

OMSI Night!

Monday night, Abby's school had a special event where OMSI was open 6pm to 8 pm for all the kids from her school (Tualatin Elementary) and Metzger Elementary from Tigard (Tigard and Tualatin have a joint school district). So, feeling brave, Bill and I got off work early, fed the kids, and headed over to the school to ride a school bus to OMSI. Abby and Libby were really good at waiting in line...for about 3 seconds.


...then, they headed off down the hill to find something messy to play in.

After we rounded them up, we climbed on the bus. Libby was not impressed with school bus riding. She wanted to run around and I was being mean and wouldn't let her.


We got to OMSI...mostly all in one piece and headed in.




The girls loved all the hands on stuff to play with.
