Monday night, Abby's school had a special event where OMSI was open 6pm to 8 pm for all the kids from her school (Tualatin Elementary) and Metzger Elementary from Tigard (Tigard and Tualatin have a joint school district). So, feeling brave, Bill and I got off work early, fed the kids, and headed over to the school to ride a school bus to OMSI. Abby and Libby were really good at waiting in line...for about 3 seconds.
...then, they headed off down the hill to find something messy to play in.
After we rounded them up, we climbed on the bus. Libby was not impressed with school bus riding. She wanted to run around and I was being mean and wouldn't let her.
We got to OMSI...mostly all in one piece and headed in.
The girls loved all the hands on stuff to play with.

Libby's at it again!
Scenes from around the yard...
Working on the Rally Car!
Bill got home from work on Friday and immediately crawled under the rally car. Libby decided that he needed her help, so she got under there with him. I finally talked them both into changing out of their work and school clothes and they continued on with their "work".
All of the things piled next to Libby are "tools" she thought Bill needed.

Trip to Home Depot!
Bill has been building raised beds for our back yard. Last weekend, we headed out to home depot to get seeds for our favorite veggies. Kiera was hanging out with the girls for the afternoon, so she went too. She found a place to hang out while we were looking at pots. Abby and Libby then decided to join her.
I see you!

50s Day!
New Trailer!
We (especially I) have been totally behind in our blog entries this year! Bill has been looking at something called the Jumping Jack trailer for a couple of years now and attempting to get me to buy one ( but not trying really hard at it). It is a tent trailer where the tent can be removed and it can also be used for hauling things. In March, we found that Costco carried a smaller version of the Jumping Jack, which would actually fit out purposes better. We bought it and it came with "some assembly required". Here's Bill and the girls putting it together. I am so excited to go camping this summer and not have to sleep in the ground!
Libby and Gramps helping.
Cheese!
Abby and Libby got to draw on the floor boards to break it in.
Grandma and Gramps helping with putting the axels and wheels on.
...and done!
Libby was really worn out after working so hard on the trailer.
